I am a Lead Software Engineer and published researcher, based in Tokyo.
I build APIs and data systems, specializing in large-scale ETL, PostgreSQL and PostgREST architectures, graph databases, and backend services in Rust, deployed in containerized environments. My work includes remote sensing, hyperspectral imagery analysis, and object detection. I support research for marine and fisheries management systems. My approach to systems engineering incorporates principles from type theory, category theory, and abstract algebra.
My research includes contributions to PLOS Climate. I am exploring opportunities for Ph.D. studies, aiming to further my contributions to research at the intersection of computer science and environmental research.
Outside of professional and academic pursuits, I am an endurance athlete with podium finishes at marathon and 50km distances. I study Japanese and am currently at approximately JLPT N4 level proficiency.
